Academy Award nomination certificate for ''Alive In The Deep''. Certificate nominates Stacy and Horace Woodard for Outstanding Achievement in the production of the documentary short. The couple competed for the award at the famous 1942 ceremony and counted among their fellow nominees Orson Welles, Olivia de Havilland, Joan Fontaine, Gary Cooper and John Ford. At center is a gilt insignia of the iconic Oscar knight standing in front of a film reel in a pose that suggests Leonardo da Vinci's ''Vitruvian Man''. Signed by the Academy president Walter Wanger and secretary. Measures 10'' x 11.5''. Near fine.
