Limited edition of Bob Kane's ''Batman & Me'' autobiography. Eclipse Books: Forestville, California: 1989. This volume is number 58 of 500 and features a fantastic hand-drawn Joker sketch signed by Kane, mounted to a black paper fly-leaf. The book, with a preface by comic artist Milton Caniff, tells the fascinating Batman story from Kane's inspiration to the first appearance in 1939 Detective Comics #27, through the 1960's television show and finally to the Tim Burton movie in the late 1980's. Almost every page contains photos, illustrations, never-before-seen Batman art and color reprints of early comics. 155pp. bound in blue cloth boards and housed in a matching slipcase. Measures 8.75'' x 11.25'' Fine condition.
