Blue bird costume screen-worn on Captain Kangaroo. Finely crafted costume includes a blue feathered jacket, feathered hood, feathered bird head mask complete with eyes and beak, two pairs of blue tights, a pair of long blue gloves, a pair of short purple gloves and two pairs of feathered shoes. Jacket portion features protruding tail and wing-shaped sleeves with a velcro closure. One pair of shoes are ballet slippers and the other more closely resemble men's dress shoes. Wardrobe department's tag is included, indicating this was worn by actress Carolyn Mignini during her guest appearance on the show, in the episode that aired 1 September 1981. Disintegration of foam lining within the head piece, else near fine. An extremely well-made and colorful costume.
