Two Ethel Kennedy typed letters signed to Captain Kangaroo. Written on Hickory Hill stationery, where the Kennedys' lived in McLean Virginia. The first letter is dated 18 June 1965 and reads in part, ''Dear Bob, Many, many thanks to you for coming to Hickory Hill again to entertain the children of the Washington Diplomatic Corps...Bobby joins me in sending you our warmest best wishes, Mrs. Robert F. Kennedy'', and signed ''Ethel'' in blue ink. Measures 7'' x 10''. With postmarked envelope to Keeshan intact. Near fine. Second letter is dated 28 March 1966 and has a handwritten ''Dear Bob'' in Mrs. Kennedy's hand, in addition to her ''Ethel'' signature. Reads in part: ''Recently, I came upon the wonderful article about you in...T.V. Guide...I was interested to see the reference made to President Kennedy in the article. I appreciated your comment about him...'' Measures 5.75'' x 7.75'' on one sheet. Includes postmarked envelope. Very good.
