Lot of 11 yearly planners custom-made for CBS from the 1960's, from the personal collection of Captain Kangaroo's Bob Keeshan. Journals feature ruled dated sections, with illustrations related to the television business on nearly every page. Each book has a theme to its decoration - 1967 for instance riffs on the CBS icon of the stylized eye, presenting a host of historical instances of the use of a single eye as a motif throughout history. 1963 took a humorous approach, with satirical drawings of the possible uses for television equipment in other contexts than television production. Featured artists include Daniel Schwartz, Chas. B Slackman, John Alcorn, Tomi Ungerer, Edward Sorel and more. Each hardcover-bound book runs approximately 100pp. Some are blind-stamped with a giant CBS logo to the front board. The year is printed to the front board, often in gilt. Lot comprises 11 books from the years 1963-1969, two for each year except for 1966, 67 and 69. Keeshan has added nothing but his personal seal to the books, which has been impressed upon the front free endpapers. Volumes measure 7'' x 7''. Buckling to one of the 1963 volumes, cracking to hinges of 1969 and scattered wear to the exteriors or foxing to interiors of some. Each book is in very good to near fine condition overall.
