Scarce one dollar bill signed by President ''The Buck Stops Here!'' Truman, given by Truman to his Treasury Secretary John Snyder. Uncirculated bill is series 1935C, engraved with Snyder's signature and framed along with a collection of items signed by Truman. Presentation includes (1) near fine $1 bill signed ''Harry Truman'' in blue ink on left side. (2) Signed color photo depicting an older Truman at his home in Independence, Missouri, with Snyder, who holds up an uncut sheet of $1 bills. 8.5'' x 7.75'' photo is matted and ''Harry Truman'' signature appears along the mat. (3) Official light green White House envelope addressed in Truman's hand, ''Sec. of Treas / Personal''. Measures 7.25'' x 4.75'' and has been opened at flap. (4) Document appointing Snyder to Secretary of the Treasury, signed by ''Leslie L. Biffle'' as Secretary of the Senate. Official U.S. gold seal affixed to 8'' x 6.75'' document by a green ribbon. Document is noted as a ''copy'' but is personally signed. (5) A replica of Truman's famous ''The Buck Stops Here!'' sign that welcomed visitors to his oval office and came to define his political approach. Sign, a replica from the Harry S. Truman Library & Museum, measures 10.25'' x 1.75''. (6) Copy of document nominating Snyder to Secretary of the Treasury. Measures 8'' x 13.5''. Original document is housed in the National Archives. Acquired from the estate of John Snyder. A scarce presentation highlighted by the famous ''buck'' signed by Truman -- perhaps the most recognizable symbol of any U.S. President.
