He pens, ''Theodore Roosevelt'' in ink to the lower right of the document, a naval commission appointing Francis Garfield Randall to the position of Warrant Machinist on the USS West Virginia. Dated 4 March 1906, document features a blue seal at bottom center. Single-page measures 15'' x 18.5''. Toning, partial detachment to seal and a family tree drawn on verso, else near fine.
