Franklin D. Roosevelt wallet given as a Christmas gift to John McCormack. McCormack presided over much of FDR's historic legislation as House Majority Leader, including the New Deal and Social Security Act of 1935. Black leather ''Mark Cross'' brand wallet has a small, oval 14 karat gold plaque affixed to center, inscribed: ''J.M. from F.D. Roosevelt''. With a ''Mark Cross England'' insignia branded in gilt to inside, wallet measures 4'' x 3.25'', with some wear to leather, especially at fold, as though it was used. Very good to near fine.
