President Ford's personally owned Russian fur hat. Ford received the distinctive hat during a November 1974 trip to meet with General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev in Vladivistok, Russia. Includes a photo of the President donning his ''ushanka'' hat with Brezhnev, as a symbolic sign of ''D'etente'' (easing of strained relations) during the Cold War period. With a signed LOA from his son, Steve Ford.
