Albert Speer signs a typed letter to an acquaintance datelined Heidlberg, 26 March 1972. Just six years after his release from a twenty-year stint in Spandau prison for war crimes, he writes to an acquaintance on his personal stationery in German: ''...My wife and I went to the dolomites for our winter vacation and we recuperated excellently...You are right about reading Alexander von Humboldt. His letters are also very nice...[signed] Albert Speer''. Humboldt was a 19th-century biologist and geographer. Measures 8.5'' x 11''. Near fine. Accompanied by full translation.
