William Faulkner Signed ''Notes on a Horse Thief'' -- Rare First Edition of Only 950 Copies Signed by Faulkner

Rare title signed by William Faulkner, ''Notes on a Horse Thief.'' Levee Press: Greenville, MS: 1950. First edition, issued as a limited edition of 950 copies of which this is number 507, is signed ''William Faulkner'' on the rear fly-leaf. Issued without a dustjacket, book is bound in pine green boards with a silver illustration of a horse on the front board and silver titling to spine. One half of the illustrated front endpaper has been torn off, and a small label appears on the half title page, otherwise in near fine condition.
