A Japanese picture album taken by an American Naval officer stationed in Japan after World War II. The album is covered with a large 7th Cavalry tapestry and features over 50 pages of photos. The most powerful pages have haunting images of the dead and the wounded lying in the rubble, including a vivid portrait of a dead mother and baby lying motionless on the ground. The album also shows the aftermath of the bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The 13'' x 10'' album has some loose pages and photos, otherwise in very good condition.
