Painting of the classic cartoon character, Woody Woodpecker, rendered in oil on board and signed by its artist and creator, Walter Lantz. Lantz signs in the lower right, ''Walter Lantz'' and handwrites on the verso of the painting ''Be My Guest'' (title of work); ticker and stamp from Lantz's studio also appear on the verso. A framed letter from 1977 signed by Lantz authenticating this piece is included. Painting measures 13.25'' x 10.25'' mounted to a frame measuring 18'' x 21'', in fine condition.
