Harvey Nininger, American self-taught meteorite collector and founder of the American Meteorite Museum in Sedona, Arizona, signed photo. Nininger helped spurn interest in meteoritics in the 1930's by amassing the largest personal collection of meteorites up to that time. Photo depicts the enthusiast pouring over an oversized meteorite. He signs the photo across the top right edge, ''H.H. Nininger''. Black and white glossy photo measures 3.75'' x 6.5'' and is mounted to a thick cardstock board. Very good condition.
