1914 undelivered postal cover and letter. An Australian manufacturing company attempts to notify a German client of a halt in business due to the war, but marks to the cover read ''Return to Sender'' and ''Undeliverable'' per the London Postal Service. A seal re-closes the cover's right edge after its opening by censors. A ''Dead Letter'' backstamp dates 11 April 1915 from Sydney. Cover measures 5.75'' x 3.5''. Dampstaining to bottom edge of cover and some toning. Typed letter measures 8.5'' x 10'' and bears creasing. Overall very good.
