3pp. autograph letter signed by Pie Traynor, to his wife. Datelined Buffalo, 31 August 1931, letter reads in part: ''...This evening we play the Buffalo team. It is very cold here and I hope I will not play more than a couple of innings...Do you realize Eve...that out of our season we are together only seventy-seven days...Thursday...we will be together again and...can be in each others arms...Now my sweet girl I am departing for the ball field...Pie.'' On three separate sheets, with envelope. Tears archivally repaired and some paper loss, else good.
