Chester Nimitz twice-signed photo of the Japanese surrender. Official U.S. Navy 13'' x 11'' matte photo captures the ceremony aboard the U.S.S. Missouri, dated 2 September 1945. Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz signed the surrender documents on behalf of the U.S. and he signs this photo, ''CW Nimitz, Fleet Admiral, USN'' on the mount as well as upon the photo, ''C.W. Nimitz / U.S. Representative''. Significant fading to signatures and minor creasing, else very good.
