Dr. Seuss ''McElligot's Pool.'' Random House: New York: 1947. A boy named Marco is told he can't catch anything in a polluted pool but his imagination creates all kinds of underwater possibilities. The illustrations by Dr. Seuss in this early 1947 book - the same year as the first printing - are shaded colored pencil rather than his later pen and ink drawings. Minor wear to edges of the 8.25'' x 11.25'' green cloth boards with black lettering. Book without dustjacket is in very good condition.
