James Monroe land grant signed as President, allocating a tract of land in Arkansas to an American veteran. Partly printed document features an engraved vignette of a mythological figure giving a document to a patriot, whose son holds a sword. Document is dated 1 February 1821 and retains original paper seal. Signed clearly ''James Monroe'' at lower right. Chips along folds, crease through signature and uniform toning. Overall in good to very good condition.
