Herbert Hoover typed letter signed upon his personal stationery, dated 30 May 1940 from the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. Letter to Walter Mahony (likely the New York Senator) reads in full, ''I have your note. You don't have to send me all that alarming information about yourself. I wish I had something to do that you could work at as there is nobody I would like more to have around.'' Signed ''Herbert Hoover''. 7.25'' x 10.5'' letter is in very good condition, with folds and light creasing.
