Irish Civil War Broadside Issued by the IRA -- Eamon de Valera Tells the Irish to ''Rally to the Flag'' and ''It is War''

Irish Republican Army (IRA) broadside from the start of the Irish Civil War, dated 30 June 1922. No sooner had the Irish War for Independence from England come to a close when internal factions within Ireland clashed. Divided over the Anglo-Irish Treaty resolution, Ireland's civil war was waged between the pro-treaty Provisional Government led by Michael Collins and the Republican militants under Eamon de Valera. IRA broadside reads in part: ''...Last night a cessation of hostilities was arranged to enable the moving of the wounded from the Four Courts to hospital. The...Provisional Government would only agree to their removal on condition they would be...kept in a military hospital. To this the Republican Authorities could not agree...'' Measures 15'' x 20''. Toning and creasing, very good.
