''Memoirs by Harry S. Truman'' two-volume set, signed by Truman on the half-title page of volume I. Autograph reads simply ''Harry Truman'' with no inscription. Set includes both volumes, ''Year of Decisions'' and ''Years of Trial and Hope''. Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Co., 1955 and 1956. Lot also includes the very rare invitation to attend the ''autographing party'' on 2 November 1955 at the Hotel Muehlebach in Kansas City, Missouri. Both volumes are bound in black cloth boards with blue and silver lettering, and top edges green, and original dust jackets. Minimal chipping and sunning to spines of jackets, which are in very good condition. Volume I is splitting along the rear hinge, otherwise near fine. Volume II is near fine.
