Harper Lee autograph letter signed, dated 10 December 1997. Lee writes to long-time friend Doris Leapard to thank her for the obituary of a mutual friend. The Pulitzer Prize winning author writes, ''Dear Luv...and thank you, thank you for the church possum hunt -- I'm showing it to my minister as a new way to bring folks to the Lord...'' Lee signs, ''Luv you!'' and her first name ''Nelle''. Letter, written on 5'' x 4'' note card, is in fine condition. Accompanying handwritten envelope, signed ''Lee'' is postmarked from Montgomery, Alabama, in very good condition.
