Civil War GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) document from 9 June 1898 regarding the preservation of Gettysburg National Park. Document is a motion recommending that future funds be allocated to the continuation of the development of the National Military park at Gettysburg, which was established as a national park in 1895. Motion is signed by then commander W.D. Stauffer, a veteran of the Civil War, as well as Chas L. Leiper who was Brigadier General of the 6th Pennsylvania Cavalry up until the end of the war in 1865. Measures 10'' x 14''. Creasing and slight toning. Very good condition.
