Gerald Ford typed letter signed, dated 29 July 1965, when he served as House Minority Leader. Letter addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Thompson reads in part, ''...I was pleased to learn...that a representative of IRS has contacted you and an agreement reached. Enclosed is a copy of the report we received, and I trust that the matter has been resolved...'' Ford signs, ''Gerry Ford''. Lot includes the IRS report mentioned in the letter. Letter measures 8'' x 10.5''; report measures 8'' x 11''. Both in fine condition.
