President George H.W. Bush typed letter signed on White House stationery, dated 16 March 1990. Bush writes to Cy Laughter, ''Dear Cy / Just a quick note to say thanks for your March 2 letter. That's great news about Red Poling. I'm sure he'll continue to do a great job at Ford. Warm regards to you and Audrey, in which Barbara joins...[signed] George''. Includes original envelope from the White House, as well as a card reading ''With the best wishes of The President and Mrs. Bush''. Letter measures 6.5'' x 4.5'', card measures 4.5'' x 2.75'' and envelope measures 6.5'' x 4.5''. Near fine condition overall.
