Ernest Hemingway used bullfighting ticket from 29 July 1959 in Valencia, Spain. Hemingway wrote about the bullfights from the summer of 1959 for a series in ''Life'' magazine that would turn into his final book ''The Dangerous Summer''. Ticket is part of a collection of items owned by Roberto Herrera Sotolongo, Hemingway's close friend and personal secretary when he lived in Havana, Cuba. Colorful paper ticket lists the numbered section Hemingway sat in, and shows a lively depiction of a bullfighting scene. Left edge is torn from where the ticket stub was detached. Measures 7'' x 3''. Foxing, creasing and ticketing punch hole, overall very good condition.
