Laird has won twice and been nominated five times for Outstanding Direction Daytime Emmy's, is a winner of a DGA award, and was the youngest woman ever to direct a television movie. The certificate is signed by John Connor as president of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, as well as by Robert Winston as Chairman of the Board.
