Eleanor Roosevelt signed Christmas card, likely from 1929 as First Lady of New York. FDR and Eleanor are shown sitting next to their fireplace with their dog, with the printed greeting reading ''Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from'' to which Eleanor adds her initials ''ER'' and also the initials of her husband, ''FDR''. Underneath their photo is printed ''The Governor and Mrs. Roosevelt''. Card was given to Helena Mahoney, Roosevelt's physical therapist, whose name is written on the verso. Card measures 4'' x 3''. Light soiling, overall very good condition.
