Captain Kangaroo 1956 progress reports. Lot consists of three identical progress report booklets and a large promotional piece sent to advertisers during the show's incredibly successful first year. Booklets were sent to advertisers to promote commercial airtime sales during Captain Kangaroo's time slot. They cite ratings and statistics persuading advertisers that the children who watch the program will influence their mothers to buy advertised products while shopping together. Three copies of the booklet are each bound in pictorial yellow soft covers and run 19pp., measuring 11.5'' x 8.75''. Large matching card-style promo sheet measures 11'' x 13.75''. Some smudging to covers and creasing to corners of pieces, else near fine.
