Shaw signs the half-title page, ''Inscribed to / W. Harold Dans / G. Bernard Shaw / 24th Nov. 1928''. Shaw worked on the ''Guide'' for four years, beginning in 1924, during which time he won the Nobel Prize for Literature. First edition is housed in original dust jacket with 15 price. Also with an order form for the book and two publisher advertisements, calling it ''Mr. Shaw's declaration of faith-political, social and ethical''. Measures 6.5'' x 9.5''. Light soiling and chipping to dust jacket, but with no substantial paper loss; in very good condition. Beautiful gilt adorned book in Art Nouveau style is very good to near fine, with light soiling to gilt top edge.
