Sylvia Plath's driver's license from 1958, signed twice by the famous novelist and poet, and also with her handwritten addresses. Driver's license dated 27 October 1958 is signed ''Sylvia P. Hughes'' on the front, which shows her birthdate and other information, including the printed address of 337 Elm Street, where she lived with Ted Hughes from 1957-1958. On the verso, Plath again writes her name ''Sylvia P. Hughes'' and handwrites both her 26 Elmwood Road address (where she lived much of her childhood and where her mother still lived), and the address she shared with Ted Hughes beginning in late 1958, at 9 Willow St. After Plath's death, Ted Hughes wrote a poem entitled ''9 Willow Street'' about Sylvia and their relationship. Driver's license measures 2.5'' x 3.25''. Crease along left edge, overall very good condition.
