Carl Jung autograph letter signed, composed on a postcard to his mentee, psychoanalyst Dr. Rivkah Scharf Kluger, who at the time of this letter was helping Jung with his book ''Psychology and Alchemy''. Postmarked 19 August 1942 from Zurich, Jung writes in full, translated from German:

''Dear Miss! / Thank you very much for delivering the transcription of your shorthand notes so quickly! In it you even annotated the sources of the quotations! I completely agree that Dr. Schmitt is to have a copy. He will provide a respectable review, something I otherwise receive rarely or never. Dr. Frey wrote to me that my naively inoffensive interview in the Illustrierte Zeitschrift [Swiss magazine, now called Schweizer Illustrierte] had aroused all kinds of opposition. Of what kind, however, I was not told. I am trying to be on vacation. / With sincere thanks, / Your always devoted / C.G. Jung''

Postcard measures 4.125'' x 5.875''. Uniform toning, else near fine. Letters by Jung are quite rare; his pioneering work in psychoanalysis and mythology has greatly influenced diverse fields such as literature, anthropology, religious studies, psychology and psychiatry.
