Brass plaque issued in 1927 commemorating the first nonstop flight from New York to Paris by Charles Lindbergh. Issued by the Aeronautical Chamber of Commerce, plaque features bas-relief artwork of a plane in flight on one side, with the words ''Per Aspera Ad Astra'', translating from Latin to ''Our aspirations take us to the stars.'' The other side reads in part, ''Commemorating first non-stop New York to Paris flight by Capt. Charles A. Lindbergh / May 20-21, 1927''. Plaque measures 3.5'' x 2.5'', with ''Robbins Co / Attleboro'' engraved on rim. From the estate of Eastern Air Lines executive Paul Brattain.
