Sell Your Abner Doubleday Autograph at Auction

Abner Doubleday was an officer of the U.S. Army and Union General in the American Civil War. He was known for ordering the first Union shots at Fort Sumter and for having a central role in the early part of the Battle of Gettysburg. Many also credit Abner Doubleday with playing the first game of baseball in 1939 while at the United States Military Academy in West Point. Some believe it to be a myth, however the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum credit Doubleday and the baseball field at West Point is named after him.
