Sell Your Robert Mapplethorpe Autograph at Auction
Robert Mapplethorpe was an American photographer best known for his black and white photography. His earlier works of the 1960s and 1970s were polaroids and medium format photos while his later works revolved around still lifes, celebrity portraits and male and female nudes. Some of his work is considered controversial as it captured explicit images of the New York City BDSM scene of the 1960s and 1970s. Mapplethorpe released several books of his photography including Certain People: A Book of Portraits, Lady, Lisa Lyon and Mapplethorpe Portraits.
