Sell Your 1958 Topps PSA 9 Baseball Card
Max Von McDaniel was an American professional baseball player. Initially a right-handed pitcher, he was a rookie sensation at age 18 when, just days out of high school, he pitched a complete game, two-hit-shutout for the St. Louis Cardinals in his first Major League (MLB) start against the defending National League champion Brooklyn Dodgers on June 21, 1957. McDaniel went on to have a sparkling debut season in the Majors. Winning his first four decisions, he pitched 19 consecutive scoreless innings, bested his first start by recording a one-hitter, and posted a 7–5 win-loss-record and a 3.22 earned run average in 17 games and 862⁄3 innings pitched. But a breakdown in his pitching mechanics resulted in severe control problems that curtailed both his mound and MLB careers and caused him to eventually become a third baseman in minor league baseball.

1971 Topps Baseball Unopened Wax Box
1971 Topps Baseball box of 24 sealed packs. Box is from the fourth series, which includes Hank Aaron and Nolan Ryan. For the first time in 1957, Topps put full year-by-year statistics for the player’s entire career on the back of the card. Over the next few years, Topps alternated between this format and merely showing the past season plus career totals. The practice of showing complete career statistics became permanent in 1963, except for one year, 1971, when Topps sacrificed the full statistics in order to put a player photo on the back of the card as well. Box sealed in plastic measures approximately 8″ x 7″ x 1.5″. Wear along edges and to corners, overall excellent condition. Sold by us. Worth over $70,000 now.
