Sell Your 1952 Topps PSA 9 Baseball Card

Stephen Thomas Bilko (November 13, 1928 – March 7, 1978) was an American professional baseball player known for his home run hitting as a minor league player during the 1950s. He was 20 years old when he broke into Major League Baseball on September 22, 1949, with the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed his greatest fame with the Los Angeles Angels of the Pacific Coast League from 1955–1957. His greatest year came in 1956, when he won the PCL’s Triple Crown with a .360 batting average, 55 home runs and 164 runs batted in. He was inducted into the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame in 2003. He also played for several major league teams, including the Los Angeles Angels of the American League in 1961 and 1962, but never enjoyed the success he had with the PCL Angels in the 1950s. As an original Los Angeles Angel (American League version), he became the first player to play for both Los Angeles MLB teams.

1971 Topps Baseball Unopened Wax Box

1971 Topps Baseball box of 24 sealed packs. Box is from the fourth series, which includes Hank Aaron and Nolan Ryan. For the first time in 1957, Topps put full year-by-year statistics for the player’s entire career on the back of the card. Over the next few years, Topps alternated between this format and merely showing the past season plus career totals. The practice of showing complete career statistics became permanent in 1963, except for one year, 1971, when Topps sacrificed the full statistics in order to put a player photo on the back of the card as well. Box sealed in plastic measures approximately 8″ x 7″ x 1.5″. Wear along edges and to corners, overall excellent condition. Sold by us. Worth over $70,000 now.
