Princess Diana signed photo display, housed elegantly in the royal frame bearing her royal cypher. Photo of Diana posed and smiling is dedicated in her hand upon the mat, ”To Mark, / love from, Diana” in black felt tip. Semi-matte photo is in beautiful, fine condition. The frame itself is also fine, textured black with her royal cypher, a crowned ”D” in gilt at the top center. Photo measures 4.25” x 5.75” and frame measures 5.75” x 7.75”. Sold for $5,000.

Prince Charles & Princess Diana Signed Christmas Card From 1981, Their First Year as a Married Couple — Also With Handwritten Note by Diana
1981 Christmas card signed by both Prince Charles and Princess Diana, with an additional autograph note by Diana. Front of card features the gold embossed seals of the British Crown, and handwritten note by Diana to inside reads, “The President and Members of the F.C. and C.P.O.’s Mess of HMS Ariadne”. The Prince and Princess sign “Charles and Diana” to bottom, next to a handsome photograph of the Royal couple affixed to card. Card measures 5.25″ x 7.25″. Tape residue to front and back, and very light smudging to Diana’s signature. Very good to near fine overall. Sold for $2,440.

Stunning Handwritten Note Signed by Princess Diana With Beautiful Picture of the Princess and Her Sons — “This Comes With All Our Love…”
Handwritten note signed by Princess Diana on a beautiful and rare Kensington Palace note card with a photograph of her and her sons on the verso. Note reads in full: “Dear Mel, This comes with all our love, from Diana and the boys”. Black ink signature is bold and clear. On verso of card is a stunning semi-matte photo of Diana and the young Princes Harry and William. Measures 6″ x 4.25″. A very rare official Kensington Palace card in fine condition. Sold for $2,431.
Princess Diana autograph letter signed, sent to the Royal Chef Darren McGrady, who Diana was quite close to, even working for her directly after her divorce. Dated 24 September 1988 upon Charles and Diana’s Royal Highgrove stationery, personal letter reads in full, ”Dear Darren, Thank you so much for sending me the lovely invitation to your wedding on October 15. It was a very kind thought & I was thrilled to bits to be included! Sadly, I cannot be with you both on your ‘big day’ as I am supposed to be in another part of the country on that weekend…to think that I am going to miss the best man’s speech!! However, I will be thinking of you & Julie & wishing you every possible happiness for the future. Once again, many thanx for your letter & invitation. Yours sincerely, Diana.”
Letter is accompanied by a congratulatory telegram sent to the couple shortly thereafter, dated 14 October 1988 from Buckingham Palace. Amusing telegram reads in full, ”Congratulations on getting married…..Pity about the cake…..Lyons will give a refund! Hard core urgently required at Kensington Palace! / Diana.” Letter and telegram are beautifully presented with a photo of Diana, matted in sparkly gold and royal blue, and framed in gold to a size of 23.75” x 20”. Two page letter (framed with an opening on the back for viewing) measures approximately 5” x 8” and telegram measures approximately 8.5” x 5.25”. Near fine condition. With PSA/DNA COA. Sold for $2,200.
Touching Princess Diana of Wales autograph letter signed on 5 February 1991. Letter is addressed to Brenda Duffy, mother of Kieran James Duffy, the first member of the Royal Air Force to be killed in action in the Gulf War. 2pp. letter on one sheet, written on red and white Kensington Palace stationery, reads ”Dear Mrs. Duffy / When I visited R.A.F. Bruggen last week, it was very obvious to me how brave & exceptional the Tornado Pilots were & how your son Kieran was a member of a unique team. I can only imagine what you must be going through & words seem totally inadequate at times like this. However, I did so want for you to know how deeply I feel for you & that my thoughts & prayers are with you & your family. I will of course see what I can do about the Memorial Fund & thank you for bringing it to my attention. Yours Sincerely, Diana”. Letter is accompanied with original envelope sent from Buckingham Palace on 7 February 1991 with postage cancellation stamps. Letter measures 6.25” x 8”, envelope measures 6.5” x 4.25”. Princess Diana and Prince Charles hand-signed card from 1981 in celebration of Christmas, the New Year and their recent wedding. Cover features the Prince of Wales heraldic badge and the Princess of Wales coat of arms, both gilt-embossed. Charles inscribes the interior, ”Denis and Mrs. S.,” adding ”from Charles” to which Diana signs, ”and Diana.” Card also features a 4” x 5.25” photo of the Royal couple on their wedding day. Entire card, while open, measures 10.5” x 7.25”. Near fine. With original mailing envelope postmarked 17 December 1981 with Royal stamp, addressed to Mr. and Mrs. D. Sturgeon. Princess Diana Autograph Letter Signed From 1989 — “…for the lady who does all the cooking!…”
Princess Diana autograph letter signed, dated 30 August 1989 on Balmoral Castle stationery, the royal family’s Scotland retreat. Diana writes to her friend Janet, in full, “Dearest Janet, I thought that the enclosed might amuse you, for the lady who does all the cooking! / Am very much looking forward to seeing you next week and until then, Lots of love, from, Diana”. Single page measures 7.25″ x 9.25″. Inconspicuous abrasion to lower right of paper and some creasing, overall in very good condition with bold handwriting by Diana. Sold for $1,800.

Princess Diana and Prince Charles signed photo display, housed elegantly in a royal frame bearing the couple’s royal cypher. Here, Diana poses in a pink and cream-colored dress beside Charles in a formal portrait. Signed along bottom mat, ”Charles 1983” in black ink and ”Diana” in blue ink. Verso of frame has a gilt ”Arnolds / Knightsbridge” watermark. Color photo measures 3.75” x 5.25” and is framed to an overall size of 5.25” x 7.5”. Green leather frame has a minor tear along top left, else near fine overall. Sold for $1,720.

The Princess of Wales writes in black ink to Jayne, ostensibly an employee at Walt Disney: ”The day your huge parcel arrived here, the Christmas card I’d sent was returned as I had sent it to the wrong address! Thank you so much for our wonderful presents – My sweatshirt will certainly be the envy of Catherine & Katie!! You are full of kindness and the three of us are enormously touched by your generosity….we have fond memories of our visit to Walt Disney but especially being with you….with much love from, Diana____.” Composed on Kensington Palace stationery with a personalized ”D” adorned with a crown. Measures 6.25” x 8”. Comes with original envelope. Letter has 4 pink stains on back, presumably from dye inside envelope. Overall near fine condition. Sold for $1,563.

Photo is housed in the official Royal frame embossed in green leather, displaying the Prince’s Coat of Arms. Photo measures 7” x 9.5” and has minor foxing and dampstaining along mat. Nice Princess Diana Signed Birthday Card “…A very Happy Birthday. From us all. Diana…”
Diana, Princess of Wales, signed birthday card. Card, from famed “Far Side” cartoonist Gary Larson, depicts a farmer looking at a cow seated on a barbed wire fence as he contemplates pulling a switch, with a caption reading, “Look, if it was electric, could I do this?” The inside reads, “Here’s a shocker — I remembered your birthday!” and features an autograph note from Diana in black marker: “Tracy, A very Happy Birthday. From us all. Diana.” 5″ x 7″ card includes an original envelope also addressed by Diana to Tracy. Near fine. Sold for $1,470.
Princess Diana 1992 Autograph Letter Signed — ”…as always lots of love & endless thanks for caring…”
Excellent autograph letter signed by Princess Diana, dated 26 June 1992, a month after the publication of ”Diana: Her True Story” which set off a media maelstrom for the Princess, leading to her separation from Charles later that year. Handwritten letter on Kensington Palace stationery, with the crowned ”D” crest, is written to Margaret Hodge, a British Labour politician and the first U.K. Minister for Children. Letter reads in full, ”Dearest Margaret, Thank you so much for your lovely letter & I hope to see you at the Garden Party, but with 6,000 it may be quite a challenge! I do pray that life is easier for you know as I often wonder – Take great care & as always lots of love & endless thanks for caring – from, Diana. x”. The original envelope, addressed by Diana, is included in the lot as is the original invitation to the garden party on 15 July. Finally, a letter from Patrick Jephson, Princess Diana’s Private Secretary, is included, discussing arrangements for Margaret to meet Diana at the function. A lovely collection in very good condition. Sold for $1,420.

Housed in original white and silver presentation box dated Buckingham Palace 29 July 1981, with Prince of Wales’ feathers and ”CD” monogram. Also includes a gift card reading: ”With best wishes from / Their Royal Highnesses / The Prince & Princess of Wales”. Slice is whole and wrapped in original wax paper and doily. Sold for $1,375.
