Earl Warren Supreme Court Signed Photo

Earl Warren was a district attorney for Alameda County, governor of California and was appointed to the Supreme Court by President Eisenhower. He served as the 14th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court from 1953 to 1969. The Warren Court was known for ending racial segregation, transforming criminal rights and enforcing basic rights of the constitution. Some of the most significant cases the Warren Court handled include Brown v. Board of Education, Miranda v. Arizona and Reynolds v. Sims.

Impressive signed portrait photograph of the Earl Warren Supreme Court, circa 1955. Signed by each justice in pen on the border of the photo, from left to right, “Felix Frankfurter”, “Hugo L Black”, “Earl Warren”, “Stanley Reid”, “W O Douglas”, “Sherman Minton”, “Harold H Burton”, “Thomas Clark” and “J Marshall Harlan”. These nine justices served together for two years and issued critical decisions on business law and income taxation. With photography studio mark “Ackad / Washington” to lower right corner. Matte photograph printed on cardstock measures 14″ x 10.75″. Near fine condition with only light smudging to Douglas’ signature. Sold for $2,507.

Impressive signed portrait photograph of the Earl Warren Supreme Court, circa 1955. Signed by each justice in pen on the mat below photo, from left to right, “Felix Frankfurter”, “Hugo L Black”, “Earl Warren”, “Stanley Reid”, “W O Douglas”, “Sherman Minton”, “Harold Burton”, “Thomas Clark” and “J Marshall Harlan”. These nine justices served together for two years and issued critical decisions on business law and income taxation. With photography studio Harris & Ewing blindstamp to lower right corner. Photograph measures 10″ x 8″ alone and 14″ x 11″ with mat. Near fine condition. Sold for $2,279.

Earl Warren Supreme Court Signed Photo

1965-67 United States Supreme Court Justices photo signed. Signatures of all nine Justices include the 14th Chief Justice of the United States Earl Warren, Hugo Black, Potter Stewart and Byron R. White. Photo depicts all nine Justices standing or leaning in a row within the Supreme Court chambers, a portrait of John Marshall watching over them. Signatures, in black, blue and light brown ink, very bold and readable. Matted photo, measuring approximately 14″ x 18″, signed on bottom mat border. Slight toning to mat board. Mint condition. Sold for $1,434.
