Bill Clinton White House China Sold

The Bill Clinton White House China service was ordered in 2000 and was the first to feature an image of the White House rather than the presidential seal. The patterns featured on the china were architectural components pulled from the Diplomatic Reception Room, East Room and State Dining Room of the White House.

Bill Clinton White House China — Entree Plate by Lenox From the Year 2000 — Part of the First Order & Used in the White House

White House used china plate from the Clinton administration. Fish entree dinner plate is part of the 3600-piece collection by Lenox of Trenton, New Jersey, the service commissioned for the 200th anniversary of the White House in the year 2000. This collection broke ground as the very first to incorporate an image of the White House itself on official china; it supplants the traditional presidential seal design on the service platter. Fish entree plate of ivory china features an embossed gilt border surrounding a yellow border upon which is an intertwining scrolling design in grey and white. Backstamp reads, “The White House / 200th Anniversary / 1800-2000 / Lenox / [copyright] Lenox / Made in USA” in gilt. Measures 10.5″ in diameter. Near fine. From the Raleigh DeGeer Amyx Collection.
