Steve Jobs Check Signed From 1988 — Jobs Handwrites a Check for $2,000 to His Girlfriend Tina Redse — Authenticated & Slabbed by PSA/DNA

Very scarce check signed by Steve Jobs, made out entirely in his hand to his girlfriend Tina Redse. Dated 11 March 1988, Jobs writes the check for $2,000 to Redse, singed ”steven jobs” on the signature line. At this time, Jobs was launching NeXT, and possibly engaged to Redse, who had a tumultuous relationship with the tech magnate throughout the 1980s before they broke off their engagement in 1989. Check measures 6” x 2.75”, with Jobs’ phone number and address listed at top. Endorsed by Redse on verso. Discreet bank stamp across check and vertical fold, otherwise near fine condition. Authenticated and slabbed by PSA/DNA. A scarce signature by one of the most important businessmen and inventors of the 20th and 21st centuries. Sold for $20,000.

J.D. Salinger 1966 Letter Signed — Scarce Content on Politics & Vietnam — ”…They asked me to justify American policy in Vietnam and were rather shocked…our VN policy stinks…”

J.D. Salinger typed letter, clearly signed “J.D. Salinger” in blue ink, dated 14 May 1966 and written while on a trip to Bermuda. Addressed to a Carrol Roderick in Hampshire, England, 3pp. letter — in typical Salinger style with much tongue-in-cheek content — begins with a list of made up headlines about local town goings-on in Bermuda, and then continues in small part, “…They asked me to justify American policy in Vietnam and were rather shocked when I told them this I could not do because our VN policy stinks…” On page two, Salinger writes 10 lengthy stories about the “headlines” from page one, calling it a “six-penny edition”. The letter then reflects upon the saying that “we have the government we deserve” with Salinger writing, “…It would appear that the British and Americans have been very naughty indeed to have the governments they currently have…[signed] J.D. Salinger”. Letter measures 8.5″ x 11″ on three separate sheets. Folds from mailing, staple holes and paper loss at the upper left corners; overall in very good plus condition. Photo has been intentionally blurred. Sold for $9,424.

Scarce Richard Feynman Signed First Edition, First Printing of His Memoir, ”Surely You’re Joking, Mr. Feynman!”

Very scarce Richard P. Feynman signed first edition, first printing of his memoir, ”Surely You’re Joking Mr. Feynman!”. Feynman signs on the half-title page, ”To Bill – Congratulations on your graduation. / Richard Feynman”. New York: W.W. Norton & Co., 1985. Book shows full number line on copyright page, also stating ”First Edition” as called for. In original first printing unclipped dust jacket, showing $16.95 price and two reviews on back cover. In this unconventional book by the Nobel Prize winning physicist, Feynman discusses the Manhattan Project, safe cracking, presenting as a young man in front of Albert Einstein, and much more. Book runs 350pp. and measures 5.75” x 8.5”, bound in orange cloth boards. Slight cocking to spine and light shelf wear, overall near fine. Dust jacket is slightly chipped with some sunning to spine, in very good condition. One of the few first printings signed by Feynman. Sold for $12,500.
