Sell Your Dick Calkins Art
Dick Calkins was a comic artist who originally served in the United States Army Air Service as a pilot. He is perhaps best remembered as the first artist that worked on the Buck Rogers strip. Buck Rogers was a character from the science fiction novella Armageddon 2419 A.D. written by Philip Francis Nowlan. The strip was published daily and ran from 1929 to 1967. Calkins was also the illustrator and co-creator, along with aviator Lester J. Maitland, for the comic strip Skyroads, which focused on a variety of aviation characters and storylines.
