Original painting by Frank Sinatra of a clown, one of his favorite subjects for his artwork. Oil on board measures 12” x 16”, framed to a size of 16.25” x 20.25”. Signed by Sinatra at lower right. Some crackling to paint, else near fine condition. In 1945, Sinatra gave this painting to his employee Eve Ross, his Music Copier, and then by descent to her daughter, whose LOA accompanies the painting. Sold for $12,500.

Frank Sinatra Personally Owned Sailing Jacket — Embroidered ”aboard the Christina”

Dark orange sailing jacket personally owned by Frank Sinatra. Jacket features three stripes in brown grosgrain down the front right. Embroidered over the left breast is ”aboard the Christina” in brown thread, with the I’s dotted with hearts. Jacket zips up the front with a concealed zipper and features a band collar and drawstring around the bottom. Jacket was gifted by Sinatra to Vice President Agnew’s secret service agent when the agent lost his luggage. Medium-weight unlined jacket measures 24” x 26”. A few scattered spots, else near fine. Sold for $3,125.

Frank Sinatra Owned Music Box — Given by Sinatra in 1979 to Commemorate His 40 Years in Show Business

Frank Sinatra personally owned music box playing ”My Way”, gifted by Sinatra to commemorate his 40 years in show business, beginning with his gig as lead singer of the Tommy Dorsey band in 1939. Gold statue features a bust of Sinatra in a tuxedo above the plaque, ”Frank Sinatra / 40th Year in Show Business / Caesars Palace / December 12, 1979”. Wind-up music box is fully operational, playing a rendition of his theme song, ”My Way”. Accompanied by an LOA from Louie Giampa, Director of Guest Services at Caesars, who states that Sinatra personally gave him the music box, one of 500 made for VIP invited guests at the event. Music box measures 4” x 4” x 7” tall. Near fine condition. Sold for $3,000.

Frank Sinatra Painting by Innocenzo Daraio — Given by Frank to Keely Smith

Oil painting of Frank Sinatra as a clown, by Innocenzo Daraio. Sinatra commissioned Daraio for the painting and then gifted it to his close friend, Keely Smith. The painting was then famously stolen and held for ransom in 1977, but was later returned. Daraio was known for his clown portraits and meticulous details as a scenic film artist, working on ”The Ten Commandments”, ”Marco Polo” and ”Cleopatra”. Daraio signs his full name at bottom right. Measures 22” x 28”. Frame measures 29” x 35”. Painting is near fine. With an LOA from Keely Smith’s daughter. Sold for $1,875.

Frank Sinatra typed letter signed to fellow Rat Pack member Peter Lawford, dated 8 January 1961. Here, Sinatra agrees to permit a performance of his to be reproduced for a Democratic Party benefit. Reads in part, ”I understand that the producer of the ‘Pre-Inaugural Gala’ of January 19, 1961 in connection with the inauguration of President Kennedy, you recorded and reproduced my appearances and performances…As an inducement to you to proceed with much uses I agree that you may make and permit others to use the above uses of all or part of such footage…” Signed clearly, ”Frank Sinatra” at close.
