In 2013, we were lucky enough to acquire Gerald Ford memorabilia that was either consigned, sold or donated to a previous auction from Gerald Ford’s son, Steve Ford, where it had sold for very nominal amounts.  We at NateDSanders.com turned around and sold all five of the great pieces of Gerald Ford memorabilia that had a letter of authenticity (LOA) from his son for over $40,000.  Here are the Gerald Ford memorabilia prices realized including descriptions and pictures.

President Gerald Ford’s Personally Owned Briefcase

Original black cowhide briefcase owned by President Gerald Ford. Briefcase with silver buckles has an ornate gold-stamped inscription on top reading ”Hon. Gerald R. Ford”. Includes a signed LOA from his son, Steve Ford. Briefcase measures 18” x 12” and is 4.5” deep with some minor wear, else near fine condition.  From our Gerald Ford memorabilia auction.  Sold for $8,908.

Gerald Ford’s Personally Owned Presidential Windbreaker — With Presidential Seal & ”The President” Embroidered

President Gerald Ford owned jacket. Blue jacket bears a Presidential Seal patch with ”Camp David” sewn to the chest. Inside, a label is printed in blue, ”The President”. Peters All-Weather Sportsgear zip-up jacket has a leather zipper pull decoration with brand name in gilt lettering. Size 42. Near fine. With a COA from Ford’s son Steven Ford.  From our Gerald Ford memorabilia auction.  Sold for $8,908.

Gerald Ford Personally Owned Camp David Jacket — With ”The President” Label

President Gerald Ford owned jacket. Blue jacket bears a Presidential Seal patch with ”Camp David” sewn to the chest. Inside, a label is printed in blue, ”The President”. Peters All-Weather Sportsgear zip-up jacket has a leather zipper pull decoration with brand name in gilt lettering. Size 42. Near fine. Gerald Ford’s Personally Owned Leather Briefcase — Embossed With His Name

Gerald Ford’s personally owned and used briefcase. Black briefcase is stamped, “Gerald R. Ford” in silver lettering beneath a combination lock. Cowhide case measures 18″ x 12″ x 4.5″. Some scuffing to edges from use, else near fine. From the Gerald Ford estate and with an COA from his son, Steve Ford.  From our Gerald Ford memorabilia auction.  Sold for $8,711.

President Gerald Ford’s Personally Owned Russian ”Ushanka” Fur Hat

President Ford’s personally owned Russian fur hat. Ford received the distinctive hat during a November 1974 trip to meet with General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev in Vladivistok, Russia. Includes a photo of the President donning his ”ushanka” hat with Brezhnev, as a symbolic sign of ”D’etente” (easing of strained relations) during the Cold War period. With a signed LOA from his son, Steve Ford.  From our Gerald Ford memorabilia auction.  Sold for $6,691.
