Shirley Temple Luxurious Outfit From 1939 Film ”The Little Princess”

Shirley Temple screen-worn outfit, worn as ”Sara Crewe” in the 1939 film ”The Little Princess”. Gorgeous 3 piece outfit consists of coat, hat and muff: (1) Blue wool coat has luxurious white ermine collar with foxtails and blue ribbon. 8 buttons down the front with 2 decorative pockets. Measures 17” across the shoulders with 14” sleeves and 33” overall length; (2) Blue velvet bonnet with velvet roses and silk bow in front. With matching blue silk strap attached to lining. Small mark inside headpiece; (3) White ermine muff with foxtails. Comes with 3 vintage photographs of Shirley wearing the outfit. Overall near fine condition. With a COA signed by the Shirley Temple estate.  From our Shirley Temple costume auction. Sold for $8,750.

Shirley Temple Screen-Worn Red Velvet Costume From 1937 Film ”Heidi”

Shirley Temple screen-worn outfit, worn as the namesake of the 1937 film ”Heidi”. Gorgeous 3 piece outfit consists of coat, hat and shoes: (1) Dark red velvet double-breasted coat has sable collar and hem with 6 buttons. Measures 12.5” across the shoulders with 15” sleeves and 33” length; (2) Matching velvet bonnet with silk ribbons, sable and lace trim interior. Measures 7” in diameter of head opening. Minor wear; (3) Matching velvet boots with sable trim. Measure 8” in length. Some small patches of velvet missing. Comes with 2 vintage photographs of Shirley wearing the costume. Coat is in near fine condition, hat and boots in very good condition. With a COA signed by the Shirley Temple estate.  From our Shirley Temple costume auction. Sold for $8,750.

Iconic Silk Taffeta Dress and Bonnet Screen-Worn by Shirley Temple in ”The Little Colonel”

Beautiful silk taffeta dress and bonnet screen-worn by Shirley Temple in ”The Little Colonel” from 1935. Shirley wears this elaborate costume in several important scenes in the film, such as when she sings ”Love’s Young Dream” to her grandfather. Costume was designed by Hollywood designer William Lambert and includes: Fitted dress with full skirt featuring three layers of scalloped ruffles, adorned with bright pink silk chiffon roses. Roses also appear on the shoulders. Lace pantalettes appear underneath the hooped petticoat, consistent with 19th century formal girl’s wear. The matching periwinkle blue bonnet is lined in satin with silk streamers and adorned with pink silk chiffon roses and a white boa feather. Much of the taffeta is heavily torn, but dress still displays beautifully. Accompanied by a vintage photo of Shirley Temple wearing the dress in the movie.  From our Shirley Temple costume auction. Sold for $8,750.

Shirley Temple Dress & Jacket Worn to the 1935 Academy Awards to Receive Her Juvenile Oscar — Originally in our Shirley Temple Costume Auction

Shirley Temple outfit worn to the 1935 Academy Awards, the year she was presented with the Juvenile Oscar by Irvin J. Cobb. Outfit includes dress and jacket: (1) Peach sleeveless silk dress has 9 decorative buttons and is pleated from the waist down. Measures 6” at neckline. Small stain on top button. (2) Pink jacket with pointed edges has short puffed sleeves with pointed trim. Fits snugly over dress. Measures 7” at neckline. Minor discoloration around neckline. Comes with vintage photograph of Shirley accepting the miniature Oscar, which reads in type on verso: ”Shirley Temple takes the Academy Award for outstanding work in motion pictures in 1934 from Irvin J. Cobb, humorist, who presented the trophies at the annual banquet held recently.” Both dress and jacket are in very good condition. With a COA signed by the Shirley Temple estate.  Originally in our Shirley Temple costume auction. $30,000.

Shirley Temple Screen-Worn Pink Satin Bunny Pajamas From 1935 Film “Curly Top” — From our Shirley Temple Costume Auction

Shirley Temple screen-worn pink satin pajamas, worn as ”Elizabeth Blair” in the 1935 film ”Curly Top”. Short sleeve pajamas have elastic sleeve and foot ends and feature 2 white yarn bunnies; one on the left chest and once accenting a right hip pocket. Onesie also has yarn around collar attached to 2 pom-poms and fasteners in back. Measures 10” across shoulders with 19” inseam and 39” length. Comes with vintage photograph of Shirley wearing the outfit. Minor spotting to pant legs and right sleeve, overall very good condition. With a COA signed by the Shirley Temple estate.  Originally in our Shirley Temple costume auction. $16,000.
