Golden Globe nomination plaque, presented to Tony award-winning ''Rocky'' actor Burgess Meredith for Best Supporting Actor in the 1975 film, ''The Day of the Locust''. 12'' x 15'' plaque has gilt Golden Globe award at center, with red-orange spikes emanating from it like the sun. With inlaid signatures by the President and Secretary of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Light scuffing, otherwise near fine. From Burgess Meredith's estate, originally sold as lot 289 in the Sotheyby's 13 June 1998 sale.
