''Hi and Lois'' comic strip gifted by creator Mort Walker to ''Blondie'' writer Dean Young, with a nice association to ''Blondie'' in the strip itself. Sunday strip published 29 December 1985 shows Hi helping Lois get ready in the morning in a mad dash out the door, lamenting in the last panel that ''I'll bet this never happened to Dagwood!''. Signed by illustrator Dik Browne and also by creator Mort Walker, who inscribes along lower margin, ''To Dean Young With Best Wishes! Mort Walker''. Strip measures 17.375'' x 11.5''. Near fine condition.
