Woodrow Wilson military document signed as President, appointing George Moseley Captain of Field Artillery on 13 January 1917, as the United States prepared for entry into World War I that would occur three months later in April. Vellum document features blue paper seal and military vignettes, countersigned by Secretary of War Newton D. Baker. Measures 15.5'' x 19.5''. Closed tear to paper seal, otherwise near fine condition with beautifully preserved vellum.
