William Howard Taft signed photo, dated 5 March 1924 when Taft served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Taft wears his judicial robe in the photo, which measures 9.375'' x 12.875'' including the photographic border, upon which Taft signs. Silver gelatin matte photo is inscribed, ''For Miss Florence M. Slutskie / With best wishes / Wm H Taft / Washington / March 5th 1924.'' Mounted to board. Minor silvering and toning. Overall very good plus with bold handwriting.
